FAVA BEANS (EGYPTIAN FOUL) 
1 (12 oz.) can fava beans 2 tbsp. lemon juice 4 tbsp. light olive oil Garlic powder Salt & pepper to taste 2 tbsp. chopped parsley for garnish Sliced onions (optional) Pita bread (optional)
Place fava beans with liquid in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce the flame to low and heat through. Season the beans with lemon juice, olive oil, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Transfer to a serving platter. Garnish with parsley. Serve with sliced onions and pita bread. Also can be served with tomato sauce, boiled eggs, Salads or mixed with Tahina salad. the variety is endless.
